The detail

What you should know.

Description

Marten is a branded recombinant human growth hormone: somatropin carrying the full 191–amino-acid sequence, the same active substance as our unbranded HGH 191AA. What sets it apart is presentation rather than chemistry — it is sold as a 100 IU pack in two forms, a pre-dissolved liquid and a conventional lyophilised powder.

The liquid pack is two 50 IU vials (16.5 mg each, 33 mg in total) in a buffered solution with stabilisers, so nothing is mixed before use. The powder pack is ten 10 IU vials, each reconstituted on its own like any other lyophilised vial. The manufacturer states a purity above 99%; the documentation supplied with the batch is available on request and we make no independent claim of our own.

Somatropin is an approved medicine for growth-hormone deficiency in clinical settings. Novapep supplies it strictly for research use.

How it works: Somatropin binds growth-hormone receptors and drives the liver to release IGF-1, the mediator behind most of its studied effects on tissue growth, recovery and fat metabolism. Liquid and powder deliver the same molecule; the difference is handling and stability, not pharmacology.

Researched to support: two formats, cold chain, long horizon.

Quality: Lyophilised (freeze-dried) powder, supplied for research use only. Our manufacturers carry out their own batch testing; we do not independently verify those results or issue certificates of analysis, so we back every order with our purity guarantee instead.

How to use

Reconstitute: Use bacteriostatic water. Add it slowly down the inside wall of the vial and let it dissolve for 10 to 15 minutes. Do not shake.

Administer: Subcutaneous, usually with an insulin syringe.

Dose example: A 5 mg vial reconstituted with 1 ml gives 0.5 mg per 0.1 ml (10 units on a U-100 insulin syringe).

Store: Keep the powder cool and dry. Once reconstituted, store at 2 to 8 °C and use within about 28 days.

Research dosing protocols

In research and clinical contexts somatropin is given subcutaneously, typically once daily:

  • Commonly administered in the evening on an empty stomach, to sit with the body's own nightly release.
  • A baseline IGF-1 is required before any growth-hormone work, alongside the pre-HGH screening panel.
  • Liquid vials are drawn directly. Powder vials are reconstituted individually — the 100 IU on the label is the pack, not the vial.

Describes dosing used in clinical research, provided as reference only — not a usage recommendation or medical advice. This is an investigational research compound.

Clinical studies

Clinical use: Recombinant somatropin is an approved treatment for growth-hormone deficiency and several other conditions, with decades of clinical data behind the molecule itself.

Liquid versus lyophilised: For somatropin generally, a stabilised liquid removes the reconstitution step and the handling error that comes with it, while a lyophilised powder is the more forgiving format for long storage before it is opened. Published comparisons address the format, not this brand.

Status: Supplied strictly as a research compound. Novapep has not independently tested this brand and does not present the manufacturer's figures as its own.

Provided as a scientific reference based on published clinical results — not medical advice, a usage recommendation, or a claim about the research product supplied by Novapep.

FAQs
What are peptides?

Peptides are short chains of amino acids (2 to 50) that act as signalling molecules. Ours are supplied for laboratory research.

What's included in my order?

The vial contains lyophilised powder only. You also need bacteriostatic water, a sterile syringe, and a needle. We stock bacteriostatic water under Supplies.

How do I reconstitute the peptide?

Add bacteriostatic water slowly down the inside wall of the vial, then let it dissolve for 10 to 15 minutes. Do not shake.

How should I store it?

Keep the powder cool and dry. After reconstitution, store at 2 to 8 °C and use within about 28 days.

How are peptides administered?

Most are administered subcutaneously with an insulin syringe, for slow, steady absorption. A few formulations use other routes.

When do effects appear?

It varies by peptide and protocol. Some are researched over a few days, others over several weeks.

Do I need to see a doctor?

A prescription is not required, but we recommend speaking with your doctor, especially if you have a medical condition or take other medication.

Are your peptides tested?

Our manufacturers carry out their own batch testing, but we do not test independently and do not hold certificates of analysis — so we make no purity claim of our own. We back it with a guarantee instead: you are welcome to have a vial independently tested — contact us first so we agree the laboratory. If the result doesn’t match the label, we reimburse the cost of the test and either replace the product or refund it.
